The ”Punchline 2” Is For You….
                                                And now E-Statements too
  Unity's “Punchline 2” Home Banking System is safe , simple, and available 24 hours
a day for your convenience. Yes, it is safe. The site is secure and uses Microsoft's encryption software. We also automatically “lock out” your account if multiple incorrect sign ons are attempted. And it is simple! After you sign on just point and
click to see your balances, history, cleared check copies, future direct deposits, and much more. You can also send yourself a check, transfer money between accounts,
and pay on your UNITY VISA Card. The best thing is it's there for you any time of
the day or night 365 days a year.
   Just go to www.unitycu.com and click on First Time? above the “Punchline 2” logo. You will be taken to the Enrollment page and simply click on NOT ENROLLED? ENROLL TODAY and answer a few questions. Within 48 hours you will receive an Email with a temporary password and you will be ready to go. (If you don't receive an Email within 72 hours please call Unity and we will help you with the enrollment process.)

   Late Breaking News

  E-Statements are now available on the “Punchline 2”. Once enrolled in the
“Punchline 2”, you can click on Options and then on Service Enrollment and choose to view your statements online. By enrolling in E-Statements you will receive an Email when your current statement is ready for viewing. Get your statements in hours instead of days. Then, you can enroll in E-Statements (Archived) and view your last 6 months of statements online. And it's all FREE!

Bank Fees are Big Business
   Recently we have had an opportunity to view the revenue streams that have
developed as a result of the lowered margins on loans. Amazing how imaginative Financial Institutions have gotten to ensure that their income streams are not reduced as a consequence of anemic lending patterns or reduced investment returns. So what category do you fall into? Are you a Platinum or Gold customer/member or just a
Silver or Bronze? If you are in the latter category you are probably paying significant fees for even basic financial services. As a matter of fact even in the upper categories you will probably still find yourself paying fees as just another victim of statement shock.
    As margins continue to remain low it is no wonder that alternate sources of income have been developed. These “alternate sources” can have a big effect on your finances. Beware of “free” anything. The small print usually points out that there is no free lunch. Examine your statements closely to determine “how many” and “how much”. A little effort can go a long way to saving you and your family a lot of money. By finding an institution that relies on reducing it’s expenses and maintaining a “low cost” environment to keep your costs down you will keep more of your hard earned cash. Always check with your Credit Union first……

Fraud continues to be a problem
  Not a day goes by when word comes out about some new scam designed to make the bad guys richer at the consumers' expense. As a reminder:
Do not give out your personal information to anyone who presents themselves as needing it for any reason. Many of the scams purport to need the information to verify, authenticate or otherwise use it to assist in solving some bogus problem “with your account”. If you get a request like this contact either the authorities or UNITY and we will assist you in determining your next course of action.

UNITY gears up to offer Business Loans
    The Credit Union has partnered with Central Corporate Credit Union (CenCorp) to develop a business lending platform for our members. In these days of job uncertainty or in cases where members are opting to develop a second or third source of income the Board of Directors has thought it prudent to add business lending to our expanding menu of services. We have developed policies to allow us to lend to limited liability companies, corporations, sole proprietors, individuals and organizations. Inquiries relative to business applications should be directed to the loan department at the main office of Unity Credit Union at (586) 573-4110, ext. 41.

    A MasterMoney Card looks like a credit card with the MasterCard logo, but it acts both as a “plastic check” and as an ATM card. There are many benefits to using a MasterMoney Card! Purchases are automatically deducted from your checking account, so you don’t have to worry about paying a credit card bill at the end of the month.
